Calm and Conscious Parenting

Parenting is beautiful and and can also be deeply challenging sometimes. Whether you are raising a family in your home country, living abroad, or navigating life without a nearby support network, it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed.

 

This training is taught entirely in English to make it accessible to everyone (Dutch or German sessions may also be available depending on interest). We warmly welcome parents from all corners of the globe - whether you are a local resident, a newcomer navigating a new culture, or an international parent joining us from your home country.

 

Mindful Parenting is a specialized Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training tailored for families. It isn’t about being perfect. It is about learning to step out of automatic, stressful reactions and responding to your children with presence, patience, and compassion.

About the Course

This live online training is based on the internationally recognized, evidence-based program developed by Professor Susan Bögels.

Who is it for? Parents of toddlers, teenagers, and adult children from all over the world.

Booking Options: Available to join individually, as a couple, or together with a friend. Custom trainings are also available on request.

Are children involved? No. The training is for parents only - children are not involved. To allow you to focus fully on your own self-care and growth, children do not participate in the sessions.

 

Do you have a baby? If you have a newborn or infant, we highly recommend our specialized Mindful with your Baby training instead. It is perfectly tailored to the unique physical and emotional challenges of early parenthood.

Practical Details: What to Expect

Our live online sessions offer a uniquely rich, interactive experience in a supportive setting.


The Format: 8 live online sessions via Zoom (2 hours each), including guided exercises to practice at home.

When: Wednesday mornings in November and December 2026 (Register your interest here).

Where: Live online via Zoom (Interactive group sessions you can join from anywhere).

Price: €595 per person.

Participants: Small, intimate groups for extra personal attention and privacy (Minimum 4, maximum 8 participants).

  1. Expression of Interest: Once you express interest, we will schedule an initial call. Prior to our call, I will share a brief intake form. Completing this helps me prepare so we can make the absolute most of our time together.

Certification & Insurance Reimbursement

It is important to note that this course is officially structured as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training.

 

Because it meets these specific clinical criteria and I am a VMBN and Mindfulness Register registered trainer with an active AGB code (the highest level of certification for mindfulness professionals in the Netherlands), most Dutch health insurance providers partially or fully reimburse the costs of the training.

 

Reimbursement for this Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training usually falls under the supplementary insurance package (aanvullende verzekering). I highly recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to see the specific coverage and reimbursement rules available under your health plan.
