How to get started

The journey begins with a personal connection to ensure the training is the right fit for your unique family situation.

  1. Expression of Interest: Once you express interest, we will schedule an initial call. Prior to our call, I will share a brief intake form. Completing this helps me prepare so we can make the absolute most of our time together.

  2. Securing Your Spot: Your place in the training is fully confirmed upon mutual agreement and receipt of payment.

Certification & Insurance Reimbursement

It is important to note that this course is officially structured as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training.

 

Because it meets these specific clinical criteria and I am a VMBN and Mindfulness Register registered trainer with an active AGB code (the highest level of certification for mindfulness professionals in the Netherlands), most Dutch health insurance providers partially or fully reimburse the costs of the training.

 

Reimbursement for this Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training usually falls under the supplementary insurance package (aanvullende verzekering). I highly recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to see the specific coverage and reimbursement rules available under your health plan.

What exactly do we do during a mindful baby training session?

During the sessions, we combine traditional mindfulness exercises for you as a parent with moments of focused attention on your baby. This unique approach to mindfulness with a baby helps you practice observing your baby’s cues without judgment, learning to stay grounded even during stressful moments, and tuning into what you both need in the present moment.

 

Can I attend a mindfulness baby training if I already have meditation experience?

Yes, absolutely! While we cover the core principles of mindfulness, our Mindful with your Baby training specifically focuses on applying those principles to parenting and interacting with your little one. Even experienced meditators find that practicing mindfulness together with their baby brings a completely new, deeply rewarding dimension to their existing practice.

 

What happens if my baby cries, needs a diaper change, or falls asleep during the session?

That is completely okay! In fact, it is exactly what a real-life mindful baby training is designed for. Your baby is allowed to do exactly what babies do. Whether they are crying, sleeping, playing, or needing a feeding, everything is welcome. We use these exact moments as gentle opportunities to practice mindfulness in action.

 

What if the standard group dates don't fit my schedule?

If the planned group sessions do not work for you, it is also possible to follow this mindful baby course individually. Please reach out so we can discuss a customized mindfulness baby training schedule that fits your family's needs.
